Bardia National Park is located in the Far-Western Region, Nepal and was established in 1988 as Royal Bardia National Park. And after resign of Monarchy system in Nepal it was named as Bardiya National Park. It is the largest and most undisturbed wilderness area in the Terai, adjoining the eastern bank of the Karnali River in the Bardia District as its covering area is 968 km2. A great way to get to Bardia National Park is by taking a raft down the Karnali River. The northern limits of the protected area are demarcated by the pinnacle of the Siwalik Hills. Together with a confined forest division in the neighboring Banke District, the consistent protected area of 1,437 km2 represents the Tiger Conservation Unit (TCU) Bardia-Banke. This region consists of three diverse seasons which gives a exclusive amusement and experience to the visitors who visit this region. From October through early April the weather is dry. The days are warm, and the nights are cool and pleasant. From April to June the temperatures warm up, are peaking up to 450c in May. The hot sticky days give way to the monsoon rains that lasts until September.
