Hiunchuli Peak Climbing (6441m)

Hiunchuli lies in the Annapurna range and it is connected to Annapurna South. The actual ascent of Hinuchuli is considered one of the most difficult among the trekking peaks. The Gurung who inhabit the region considers the mountains of this area the sacred. Near from the Huin Chuli there are other two peaks within the sanctuary are Tharpu Chuli (Tent Peak) and Singu Chuli (Fluted Peak). The peak has received little attention from mountaineers and is rarely climbed due to the lack of advertisement. It is best suited for the new climbers as it is technically easy to ascend. The peak was first climbed by the American Peace Corps Expedition, via the southeast face in October 1971. It forms a massive south-facing wall together with Annapurna South. Its eastern face overlooks the Modi Khola and guards the entrance to the Annapurna Sanctuary. The region is primarily dominated by the Gurung community.
